“Sustaining our Future: A Farm Family Story”
Illinois Farm Bureau Documentary
Farmers throughout Illinois go to great lengths to preserve our soil and protect water quality. The documentary called “Sustaining our Future: A Farm Family Story” illustrates how three generations of farmers have approached sustainability. This hourlong video, produced in 2022, follows the Ganschow family in Bureau County to highlight the farmer spirit and collaboration required to achieve the goals of the Nutrient Loss Reduction strategy. To create this documentary, IFB video and environmental teams partnered with farmers, county Farm Bureaus, researchers, and other key stakeholders. The documentary sends a clear message to various organizations and individuals working together: Continue to remain passionately dedicated to improving agriculture’s impact on the environment.
Advocacy
Farm Bureau can provide multiple ways for your voice to be heard. Anyone wanting to share the positive message of agriculture can find their way through trips to Washington D.C. or Springfield and ways to contact your legislators on local, state, and national issues.
Education
The Farm Bureau provides educational resources for all ages. From new farm policy to consumer education, anyone can learn about new topics in agriculture.
With the help of Illinois Farm Bureau, Farm Bureau members receive all the resources needed. FarmWeek and Partners magazine are two statewide publications provided to members along with our local Tazewell County Farm Bureau newsletter. Members also receive many benefits from affiliated companies.
